Wyanga’s Flexible Respite Program is a service that offers a combination of in-home, centre-based, and peer support Respite.
Wyanga is an approved Respite provider and assists Carers who wish to access the Program. We currently offer In-Home & Peer Support Respite through a Brokered Service.
Our aim of the Flexible Respite Program is to improve access to disability services and ensure Clients are getting the services which they require.
Under our Flexible Respite Program we assist and support Aboriginal people (children and adults) who are or may be suffering with an illness that affects their quality of life.
How do I apply?
Applications for our Flexible Respite Program are done through Ageing, Disability & Home Care. Once
you have lodged an application you will be placed on a waiting list until an appropriate service is available.
To be eligible you must:
- Be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
- Have a disability in accordance to Ageing, Disability and Home Care (ADHC) policy
- Allow Wyanga to be a Brokered Service host
